Manasaare!!


Let me make this very clear in the beginning that I am still a huge Yograj Bhat fan... He single handedly made what Ganesh is today! Genius in portraying a character... But I guess genius needs to re-discover themselves time and again to be what they are!
Negative criticism is amazing... many people love it because the reviewer screws up the lives of people who had worked so hard to deliver something for the masses.. and it definetely irritates those people when someone from the mass criticizes them... but then... we need to give our feed back so that people's talent are used sensibly!

There are many stages in an actor's life where he wishes he shouldn't have accepted to do what he did... I felt this is the movie which Diganth will feel the same... Mr. Bhat is so much in to giving Diganth the screen space that he has left Aindritha and others so little to do! And does Diganth talk... well I was about to tear my clothes off and there isn't any small moment of time when Mr. Bhat let Diganth's looks or acting do the talking! unfortunately so. Diganth is so busy portraying Ganesh on screen that he forgets what his positives are when it comes to acting... His character need not have derived frivolous talking... could have done with some silence and some soul in it! again unfortunately the director didn't think so...

Aindritha is cute... she knows how to use her expressions and look sexy... unfortunately again... she is so busy doing all the spills that she forgets to lip sync... cant blame her... she is doing the most of her given screen space and the time that she gets to talk! which I assume might not be her voice (someone else might have dubbed!)

Mano murthy... dude needs a break... apart from one song where he gifts his fav singer Sonu Nigam another beauty of a song which is demolished on screen by a... ala Jim Carrey performance by Diganth... The other songs are nothing to write home about...

As for Neetu... well she looks stunning on screen with the wedding dress and all... and may be even the NRI dude next to her makes her look that much better (:-p)... the first song was OK not great... could have been better off with all the jazzy stuff but then its kinda the in-thing now so its fine... The scenes that Neetu is in are great to see... it will be long forgotten though... because of all the factors mentioned above!!

I am really sorry I am harsh but I am tired, irritated and drained. The movie entertains... but in parts. The person who speaks in Gulbarga/Dharwad kannada lingo makes us all laugh... but I know what will happen to him... He will be so over used in the next couple of movies he does, that we get bored of him eventually!

I can only give one credit for the experiment in trying out such a subject which was probably the right way but I guess there was lot to be desired.
